Dr. Chandrani believes exceptional eye care begins with understanding the individual behind the eyes. For her, optometry is both a science and a form of detective work—bringing together clinical expertise, careful observation, and a personalized approach to uncover the best solution for each patient.

Dr. Chandrani graduated from SUNY College of Optometry after completing a 7-year accelerated program with the New Jersey Institute of Technology, where she earned her degree in Biology. She is highly experienced in ocular disease and contact lens care, with a particular passion for specialty scleral contact lenses. She especially enjoys the challenge of fitting scleral lenses for patients who require a unique solution to achieve clear, comfortable vision when traditional options are not enough.

She also has a special interest in dry eye care and the many ways this condition can impact a patient’s comfort, vision, and quality of life. Dr. Chandrani takes a comprehensive approach to dry eye management, incorporating advanced treatment options such as IPL technology when appropriate, along with individualized treatment plans designed around each patient’s unique needs.

At the heart of Dr. Chandrani’s approach is a simple philosophy: eye care should be as individual as the person receiving it. She is committed to providing thoughtful, personalized care that supports not only healthy eyes and clear vision, but the freedom to live life fully and comfortably. She strives to help every patient see well, feel their best, and confidently enjoy the moments and experiences that matter most.

Outside of the office, Dr. Chandrani’s favorite moments are spent with her husband and their two children. She loves traveling and immersing herself in different cultures, and she is an avid reader who especially enjoys getting lost in a good novel. She also has a lifelong love of dance and was professionally trained throughout her childhood, a passion that continues to be an important part of who she is today.

Optometrist

Dr. Hwang graduated with honors from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in 2016. She is widely experienced in ocular disease, contact lenses, pediatrics, and binocular vision/vision therapy, having completed her clinical externships across the northeast. She is an active member of the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians, American Optometric Association, National Optometric Association, Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society, and Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society. In addition to having served these organizations on several boards both locally and internationally, Dr. Hwang enjoys volunteering in the community. She has spent time overseas in Haiti providing eye care to underserved populations and gives eye exams every summer to athletes at Special Olympics NJ held at The College of New Jersey, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in biology and fine arts minor in 2012. Optometrist

Dr. Neiheiser earned an engineering degree from Rutgers University and is a 1991 graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He is a member of the Cornea and Contact Lens Section of the American Optometric Association, the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians, and the National Glaucoma Society. He chairs the Dr. Leslie Mintz Scholarship Committee, which awards money to deserving optometry students from NJ. He volunteers for the "InfantSEE" program, which promotes no-cost eye examinations for children under 1 year of age. He also was voted "One of the Best Optometrists" in the area by the Trentonian.

He and his wife, Dr. Bernadette, have lived in the area for over 30 years, and found it to be a great community to raise their two daughters. He thinks Plainsboro is a nice little oasis in an otherwise busy area - and a perfect central location for all that New Jersey, New York, and Philly have to offer. When he's not examining eyes, he might be travelling, hiking, singing, brewing beer, or attending a Rutgers sporting event.
